Grant Prideco®, a worldwide leading manufacturer of drill stem product, has immediate vacancy for a Technical Marketing Engineer for its drill stem product and services (DPS) division. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the incumbent will be based in Singapore and is required to travel in the South East Asia and Pacific region.
TECHNICAL MARKETING ENGINEER
The Job:
- Technical Sales Support – Primary responsibility is representing DPS as a key technical voice; providing majority of the technical sales support. Handles technical inquiries, both from the internal sales group and external customers; which includes but not limited to giving external presentations, assisting customers in drill string design for critical applications, work on special projects, and after sales support.
- Product Development – Interface with the headquarters’ Marketing & Product Management department, to identify problems in the industry and define solutions to those problems throughout the development of new products.
- Marketing – Participate in general technical marketing activities which include attending trade shows, web development and most importantly, industry published technical papers.
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering, preferably in mechanical engineering discipline
- Strong understanding of all drill string products and the drilling process; knowledge of Grant Prideco drilling products would be advantageous
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the Oil and Gas industry
- Communicate effectively with all levels of staff and external customers
- Proficiency in written, verbal English and presentation skills
- Working knowledge in Microsoft Office and exposure to various drill string and well modeling software would be considered favorably
- High level of integrity in handling information confidential in nature.
