The Asia Pacific Regional Headquarters in Singapore is seeking a highly- motivated individual to join our team.
Inventory Analyst (1 year contract)
Reporting to the Inventory Manager, the Inventory Analyst will ensure that Inventory is managed within commercial and legislative guidelines, and that the demand forecast is as accurate as possible to drive inventory replenishment and minimise obsolescence. In addition, the Inventory Analyst will manage projects to manage inventory and replenishment through VMI initiatives both internally and with external customers.
The Inventory Analyst will balance exceptional communication and inter-personal skills to manage projects across departments and markets, and utilise proven analytical and problem solving skills to complete them successfully.
The Job:
- Review and report on consignment, evaluation, demonstration, loan and scrub stock.
- Continuously monitor the accuracy of Inventory levels, stock adjustments, credits and ensure all transactions are complying with documented processes.
- Coordinate and execute cycle count and stock take activities.
- Establish close relationships with key suppliers to ensure appropriate channels exist to send back excess inventory to the source where appropriate.
- Monthly analysis of slow-moving and short shelf life inventory.
- Monthly Reporting on Inventory metrics against regional and global KPI’s.
- Analyse forecast variance to identify root causes of forecasting error and identify strategies to improve the forecasting and purchasing process.
- Review and revise the inventory parameters regularly to reflect the current business needs.
- Manage inventory projects with Asian subsidiaries to improve replenishment processes and maximise efficiencies
- Implement VMI replenishment processes with key distributors across Asia to improve service and maximise inventory efficiencies
- Other logistics projects as required
- Any Ad Hoc Inventory/Forecasting related analysis and reporting.
- Establish, monitor and improve key performance metrics.
Requirements:
- Degree in Business Administration/Science/Arts preferably with APICS certification
- Minimum 2 to 5 years experience preferably from Planning, Manufacturing, Customer Service, or Warehousing.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office and ability to use BPCS is an added advantage
- Strong teamwork & interpersonal skills
- Proven problem solving and analytical skills
