Technical Support Engineer
Key Responsibilities
To deploy, upgrade and provide technical support on Microsoft Windows platforms which includes:
- Server hardware setup, including hard disk RAID configuration
- Configuration of Windows domain controllers, DNS, AD
- Configuration & administration of MS Exchange 2000 & 2003 Server
- Setup of PC hardware & network peripherals
- Deployment of PC & server-based remote access solutions
- Deployment of firewalls, routers & security appliances
- Deployment of corporate anti-virus, anti-spam solutions
- Deployment of Wireless networks & mobile computing devices
- To deploy, upgrade and provide technical support for proprietary Fax & Telex applications
Essential Requirements
- Should possess Diploma/Degree in IT-related disciplines
- Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience
- Must be customer-oriented and have a passion for professional services
- Excellent knowledge of Win 2000/2003 Server administration
- Excellent knowledge of PC operating systems & network client connectivity
Added advantage if you possess:
- Experience in administering MS Exchange 2000/2003/2007 Server
- Working knowledge of firewalls and routers, VPN configuration
- Experience in configuration of WANs, VLAN & wireless networks
- Microsoft and Cisco certifications
