ALSTOM was commissioned by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) of Singapore to provide the supply, delivery, testing and commissioning of train-sets, as well as associated services, signaling and automatic train control for the North East Line (NEL) project. We are also awarded the overall project management of the E&M System for the Circle Line (CCL) project – in addition to system engineering and integration, rolling stock supply, signaling equipment, automatic train control and supervision; and power supply system and track-work.

Interface Engineer

YOUR MISSION

Your mission is to define and manage the interface between sub-systems. Either within the Consortium or with other contractors.You will report directly to Project Technical Manager and functionally to T&C Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Define the interface between sub-systems (either internal to the Consortium, or with external contracts/ bodies), leading to the approval of the System Interface Control Documents (SICD)
• Define the detailed interface definition (data list, cabling consistency, civil works) leading to the approval of the System Interface data Documents SIDD
• Ensure the consistency of the interface
• Organise various interface meetings with the sub-systems or the external contractors to fulfil the above mentioned tasks
• Prepare the integration phase

Requirements

• Candidates with knowledge of railway systems, available equipment and systems, especially for those involved in relevant interfaces will be considered favourably
• At least 5 years of experience in Engineering/ Technical functions including 3 years in project
• Use seasoned judgement
• Use Technical and Industry Experience
• Promote teamwork
• Foster open dialogue and listens
• Manage conflicts of ideas
• Acts as a team player
• Field experience and good knowledge of interface between two or more sub-systems
• A good level of English and Contract Language
• A good working relationship
